Hernando Youth Baseball/Softball/Tball Volunteer Opportunity

Hello Parents, 

We appreciate you registering your child to participate in Hernando Parks and Recreation's youth recreational baseball, softball, and tball.  It is our hope that their experience is a time of development for them as a player and as a teammate and that overall, it has been a time of great fun for the players.    

I wanted to pass along information of volunteer and fundraising opportunities for those of you who may be interested.  As you may know, the City of Hernando has some limitations on how it can spend City funds for the improvement of grounds and facilities at the Hernando Civic Center, which is a privately funded property.  In the past, volunteer-run non-profit groups have played a vital role in raising funds to help improve the grounds and facilities at the Civic Center.  

A group of parents are now looking to see if others are interested in assisting with these efforts.  If you, or someone you know, may be interested in getting involved please see the link below to fill out an interest form. 
 
This is not a program or group under the Hernando Parks & Recreation or City of Hernando, but one that the residents of Hernando and participants in Hernando Parks & Recreation will benefit from.

2026 Spring Challenger Soccer

REGISTRATION ENDS 02/09/2026

This program will be open to all those ages 5-18 with physical, mental challenges or intellectual disabilities. The program will give the participants the opportunity for physical, mental, and emotional growth while participating in the program. This will be a (4) week program beginning March 7th.

2026 Spring Adult Soccer-Team

REGISTRATION ENDS 02/02/2026

Soccer for adults 18 and older. Must register as a team.

2026 Spring - 2026 Youth Baseball - 2026 Spring

REGISTRATION ENDS 02/17/2026

Dizzy Dean sanctioned, youth baseball program for boys ages 5-14. Age brackets will be determined by however old the child will be on April 30, 2026. To be eligible to participate in Hernando All-Stars, the child MUST attend Hernando school district. (If chosen by All Star coach).

Observation Clinic:

Date: February 19, 2026

Start Time: 5:45 p.m.

Coaches Meeting: 

Date: February 24, 2026

2026 Spring Youth Softball - 2026 Spring

REGISTRATION ENDS 02/17/2026
