Independent Soccer Clubs Field Rental

An Independent Soccer Club (ISC) is a soccer organization comprised of several different teams of players ranging in age from 6 to 19 years old and generally identify themselves as a “soccer club.”  To be considered to use as stated in the policy an ISC must have an organizational board, have proof of non-profit status, and have a set of bylaws.  The City reserves the right to refuse any group that does not meet these requirements.  A determination whether an organization qualifies as a “soccer club” is at the sole discretion of the City. 

An ISC that wants to use the Hernando Soccer Complex must obtain approval by the City and enter into a field use agreement with City staff.  This field usage application must be submitted by the ISC and approved by the City. 

ISCs must pay a field usage fee of $5,000 per season.  This practice field usage fee will be paid each season or twice per year.  The fall season will run from August 1st through December 15th.  The spring season will run from the third Monday in January (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) through June 15th.  No ISC shall be allowed to use any field at the Hernando Soccer Complex until the City has verified the information on their application form and received all applicable fees. 

ISCs may schedule practices on fields that have been designated by the City’s staff for such use.  Practices scheduled by an ISC may be cancelled when deemed appropriate by the City (usually for weather-related reasons).  Field usage fees will not be prorated for cancellations of practices.  Once an ISC receives approval for field use from the City, it will have 30 days in which to submit payment to the Department.  The City may restrict access of any ISC’s field usage should payment not be received in the time allotted.  The field usage fee allows access to designated soccer fields and restrooms at the Hernando Soccer Complex only.  Other facilities are not included.  

Liability and Insurance Requirements: ISCs must provide the City with evidence of comprehensive liability insurance coverage in an amount not less than $1,000,000.  All such policies must name the City as additional insured. All ISCs must show proof of their insurance requirements.

Must be at least 18 years of age to participate. All games are played at the Hernando Civic Center.
